Paramettrik Library is licensed through your Paramettrik account, not chained to a single computer. That means two friendly things: you can move between machines freely, and a lost connection does not lock you out of your own work. Here is exactly how both behave.
Switch machines freely
Licensing is server-authoritative: your entitlement lives with your account, and the plugin checks in with it rather than tying itself to one PC. Sign in on your desktop, your laptop, or a machine at a client's office, and Paramettrik Library is licensed on each, up to your device limit. Change computers and you are not filing a support ticket to release a licence, you simply sign in on the new one.
The device limit is there to keep an account personal, not to slow you down. If you reach it, signing out of a machine you no longer use frees the slot.
Working offline
On a paid plan, signing in gives the plugin a licence token that stays valid for 7 days, followed by a 30-day grace period. In plain terms, once you have signed in you can keep working for weeks with no connection, on a site visit, on a train, in a basement with no signal, and Paramettrik Library never stops mid-model to ask you to log back in. Reconnect at any point and the token quietly refreshes.
The three local windows, This File, Local Library and Other Files, go one step further: they work entirely offline and need no account at all. Your open model and your office folders are always reachable, connection or not.
What still needs a connection
Only the live cloud content does. Downloading a manufacturer or community family, or pulling from your organisation's library, reaches the Paramettrik cloud in the moment, so those actions need the internet when you take them. The licence check itself does not: your access holds through the offline window above, so the tools stay unlocked even when the catalogue is briefly out of reach.
Nothing is lost when you go offline
Your licence, your settings and your local libraries stay exactly where they are. Offline is a normal state on a construction project, and Paramettrik Library treats it as one.
