Free vs the Library module

Paramettrik Library has two levels: the Free tier, and the Library module your organisation activates. There is only ever one plugin and one account; what your account carries decides which windows open. This page lays out both levels, and what changes the day you activate the module.

Free, and genuinely so

The Free tier is not a teaser. It is made for real, everyday project work, for one user, with no card and no expiry. Two of the local windows, This File and Local Library, need no account at all: they read your open model and your office folders entirely on your machine. Add a free account and the two catalogue windows open too, Manufacturers to download brand families and Community to browse what other users have published. Light and dark themes and the five interface languages are yours from the start.

In short, Free gives you:

• This File and Local Library, fully offline, no account.
• Manufacturers and Community browsing, with a free sign-in.
• Publishing your own families to the Community.
• Light and dark themes, and five interface languages.

The Library module, for one person or fifty

The Library module is one product at one per-seat price, whether you work alone or run an agency. It keeps everything Free gives you and unlocks the rest of the tool: the windows below open for every member of your organisation, whatever the seat count. Seats only decide the price and the cloud space, never the features.

On top of Free, the Library module adds:

• Other Files, to reuse a family from any past .rvt project without opening it.
• Downloading Community families straight into your model, not just browsing them.
• Excel inventory export from every local window, so an audit becomes an attachment.
• The Organisation window, your private cloud library, with its shared space.
• Publishing and governance, including recommended and deprecated family badges.
• Seat management from the web portal (see Managing team seats).
• Email support, handled with priority.

One seat is a real organisation. For an independent, the Organisation window is not team sharing; it is your library following you: publish once and find it at the office, at home, after a Revit reinstall, and from the browser. The day you hire, nothing changes offer: you add a seat.

There is no licence key to type. Every member of your organisation gets the module automatically the moment they sign in; membership is the key.

The module comes with a free 21-day trial, no card required, once per module. Every window of the module is open; only uploads to the shared storage space wait for your first payment. Prefer no commitment at all? Free is permanent.
