This licence governs the use of Revit families published to the Community Library of Paramettrik Library. It supplements §7.3 of the End User Licence Agreement (the "EULA", https://paramettrik.com/legal/eula), which governs anything this licence does not address.
1. Definitions
- Family: any Revit family file published to the Community Library, together with its images, documents and metadata.
- Author: the user who published the Family.
- User: any person who downloads the Family from the Platform.
- Project: a model, drawing or any design, construction or operation deliverable produced by the User, on their own behalf or for a client.
2. Ownership
The Author remains the owner of the Family. No rights are transferred to the User or to Paramettrik beyond those set out in this licence.
3. Rights granted
Through the Platform, the Author grants each User a non-exclusive, worldwide licence, for the full legal term of protection of the rights, to:
- reproduce the Family and use it in their Projects, including for commercial purposes;
- modify and adapt it to the needs of their Projects;
- deliver their Projects containing the Family, as is or modified, to their clients, partners, contractors and project owners, who may use them for the purposes of the Project and the building, including its operation.
The licence is granted free of charge, or for the displayed price where the Platform allows a Family to be offered for a fee.
4. Restrictions
Unless the Author agrees in writing, the User may not:
- redistribute, sell, rent or make the Family available, as is or modified, as a standalone file or within a library, collection or template distributed to third parties, including free of charge or on another platform;
- republish the Family, or a modified version of it, to the Community Library;
- claim to be the author of the Family.
Delivering a Project under the terms of section 3 is not redistribution.
5. Withdrawal and deletion by the Author
The Author may withdraw or delete their Family from the Platform at any time. This ends any further distribution but does not revoke a licence already acquired: the User keeps the right to use downloaded copies and the Projects that contain them, under the terms of this licence.
6. No warranty
The Family is provided by its Author "as is". Neither the Author nor Paramettrik warrants its accuracy, its compliance with any standard, regulation or manufacturer data, or its fitness for a given Project. The User is responsible for checking it before use. Paramettrik's liability is limited as set out in §§11 and 12 of the EULA, subject to mandatory law.
7. Breach
Any breach of section 4 automatically terminates the licence of the User concerned, without prejudice to the Author's remedies and to the measures available to Paramettrik under the EULA (suspension, removal). The rights of third parties who received a Project in good faith are not affected.
8. Reporting
Any suspected infringement of third-party rights or of this licence can be reported to support@paramettrik.com.
9. Governing law
This licence is governed by the law and jurisdiction set out in the EULA. Paramettrik may update it; a new version applies only to downloads made after it takes effect.
