It does not replace the Privacy Policy, which is the binding document.
What stays on your machine
Three of Paramettrik Library's six libraries — This File Families, My Local Libraries and Families From Other Files — run entirely on your machine. They read and index your Revit files locally. They need no account, they work offline, and they send nothing.
Your models, your project names and the contents of your files therefore never reach us.
What leaves your machine, and when
The three cloud libraries — Certified Manufacturers, Community Online and My Organisation — require a sign-in and exchange data only when you act: publishing a family, downloading one, rating one.
When you download a family from a cloud library, we record which account downloaded which family, and when. That serves three purposes: delivering the file, counting your organisation's storage quota, and spotting abnormal automated use. It is not used to work out what you are working on — we do not know.
Your comments on manufacturers' products, together with your display name and profile photo, are publicly visible on paramettrik.com.
What manufacturers see
A partner manufacturer sees, for their own families: a download count, a breakdown by Revit version, a trend over time.
They receive nothing about you: no name, no email, no company, no IP address. We do not sell or pass on contact details.
The update check
When Revit starts, the plugin asks our servers once whether a newer version exists. The request carries no account, no machine identifier and not even your installed version number — the comparison happens on your machine. Like any internet request, it exposes your IP address to our host.
You can turn it off in Account → About. The plugin will then make no network call at startup.
Where the data lives
Accounts and cloud libraries are hosted in the European Union (Supabase, Paris). Family files sit in private object storage, reachable only through short-lived signed links. Payments go through Stripe, which alone handles card data — we never see it.
What we do not do
- We do not read your models.
- We do not build a profile of your projects or your clients.
- We do not pass your identity to manufacturers.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not send background telemetry from the local libraries.
